Every 3rd Thursday of the month we invite volunteers to help us organize and distribute donations from the Food Bank from 10am - 3pm.

Support KKV sustainability! Prepare products from our nature preserve that KKV can provide as mahalo gifts and items for donation.
Hooulu Aina is a welcoming place of refuge where people of all cultures sustain and propagate the connections between the health of the land and the health of the people. Through community efforts, KKV is restoring 100 acres to health, promoting gardening, native reforestation, environmental education and the preservation of land-based cultural knowledge. Are you interested in learning more about organic farming & community food systems? From 9am - 12pm every Thursday, ROOTs' Mahi Aina program gathers at Hooulu Aina nature preserve to share knowledge and experiential learning opportunities around health, including food, exercise, increased self-sufficiency, and a reconnection with the land, nature and diverse cultures.
Support our Returning to Our Roots program in the harvest, preparation & sharing of food from our nature preserve for community events.
Support the restoration of our watershed by promoting the health of our forest at Hooulu Aina. Volunteer foresters will learn plant identification, invasive species removal, native plant propagation and GIS mapping.
